How Forgot Password Works

Symphony supports the following contract vehicles

GSA   =   ALLIANT 3      ASTRO      OASIS      OASIS PLUS      POLARIS     

DHA   =   HEC      MQS-NG      OMNIBUS    (Legacy) MQS

 

To reset the password for Symphony, follow these steps: 

 

1. Click Forgot Password


If a user sees an Authentication Failed message after password entry, the user must first ensure the correct website for the contract vehicle is being used. 


Then, click the "Forgot Password" link to reset the password (see Figure 1).



Note: If the one-time passcode (OTP) fails or is unavailable by text or Authenticator app, see Using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).



Tip: Pay attention to the agency logo during sign-in and find the correct contract vehicle from the list above.

2. Enter the Email Address


Symphony will send a temporary password and reset link to the email address entered if an account is registered with that email (see Figure 2).

If the email is not received:
  • Ensure that the website is correct by checking the link at the top of the page.
  • Double-check that the correct email address was entered.
  • Check Spam or Trash folders.

If the email still hasn't arrived, the registrant may not have an account for that contract vehicle. See Registering for Symphony for instructions on creating a new account.

Open the email and follow the provided instructions to reset the password.
 

  • Note that the reset link only works for accounts registered on the same Symphony website (see contract vehicle list above).


  • If an email isn't received in a few minutes, register for a new account using the "Register Now" link (see Figure 3).

4. Change the Password

Create a new password that meets the following criteria:

  • A minimum of eight characters
  • At least one uppercase letter 

  • At least one lowercase letter

  • At least one number

  • At least one acceptable special character
