Report and Submit an Order Award


Purpose: This guide helps the Contracting Officer (CO) formally evaluate responses, select the awardee(s), enter the required contract details, and finalize the order.

Before You Start

Make sure you know the following before awarding an order:

  • The order status must be Evaluation before the award can be reported.
  • Only the Contracting Officer (CO) is authorized to perform the award action.
  • Symphony will automatically notify successful and unsuccessful offerors (if selected) upon award approval.


Steps

1. Access the Report Award Tab

The award process is completed when the order is in the final evaluation status.

  1. Select the Task Order in Evaluation status from the Dashboard.
  2. Select the Report Award tab.


Note: The Report Award tab only displays organizations that submitted a proposal using Symphony.

2. Select Awardee(s) and Enter Details

The CO must select the winning contractor(s) and provide the contract value and period details.

  1. Select the Awardee(s) using the checkbox.
  2. Choose whether to notify unsuccessful offerors using the checkbox.
  3. Provide the required Award Details (Title, Contracting Officer, etc.).
  4. Add the Base period, Options, and Amount Awarded for each period of performance. Symphony automatically calculates the total contract value.
  5. Upload an award document and select Save Awardee.

3. Submit the Award

Final submission completes the order status and triggers all final notifications.

  1. Review all details entered.
  2. Click Submit Award.
  3. After submission, the Orders status will change to either Selection Made or Award Approved.


Note: The Awards tab will become available, showing the total contract value and period of performance.

Troubleshooting

IssueFix

The award action is not yet available.

Ensure all deadlines are passed and the status has been moved to Evaluation.

The awardee is not available on the Report Award tab.

This means the proposal was received outside of Symphony. You must notify the Program Office of the situation.

You need to change the POC after the award is complete.

The award is final. You must contact the Program Office and advise them of the change.

The order status is Award Approved, but the awards tab is empty.

The award may require release approval before the final details are displayed.
